Matt's Special Hot Coco

Hey y'all, seeing as the winter months are coming up soon, today we're gonna show you something quick and easy to fix before class in the mornings. We'll go over how to make it from buying your own ingredients and from snagging some from the dining commons.

Today: Finessed Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

Hot Chocolate Mix (any kind)
Whipped Cream
Marshmallows (mini or regular sized)
Cinnamon
Chocolate Syrup
Milk (or water)
OPTIONAL: Frother

Regular way

Step 1: Heat up milk in the microwave. 3 minutes is optimal, but seeing as you're already hot stuff, heat it up to your liking.

Step 2: Add mix to milk, and, if you have one, use brother. This helps mix it better as well as make it creamier.

Step 3: Microwave the marshmallows separately from the milk on a plate until fluffy, if using regular 2 should do it. If you are using mini, however many fill up the cup should work. Put them in for about 30 seconds. Place on top of hot chocolate afterwards with a spoon or fork.

Step 4: Dizzle chocolate syrup on top of marshmallows to your liking.

Step 5: Add whipped cream to your liking starting at the outer edge and making your way in and up making a sexy cone shape, the ladies, or guys we don't discriminate, love it.

Step 6: Add a light drizzle of chocolate syrup on top of the whipped cream.

Step 7: Sprinkle cinnamon to your liking on top.

Dining Commons Way

The dining commons has most ingredients you can use except for chocolate syrup and a frother. If you don't want to use their hot chocolate, do this to take some ingredients back to your room.

Milk: Fill a water bottle, or, and we don't condone illegal activities, take the whole gallon from the fridge in the dessert area.

Whipped Cream: Again we don't condone illegal activities, but whipped cream is a bit hard to keep whipped for the trip from the dining hall to your dorm, so just take the whole bottle.

Marshmallows: You know what cereal has marshmallows and is delicious? Lucky Charms. Use this instead and don't microwave.

Cinnamon: You know what cereal is cinnamon-y and is delicious? Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Crush this up into fine powder with your milk water bottle or a rock if your outdoorsy like that.

Now if you took the ingredients back to your room, repeat all the steps!

There you have it, finessed hot chocolate to warm you up and spice (get it, cinnamon) up your day.
